Italian Kitchens
Italian kitchen design is known for its blend of craftsmanship, quality materials, and a focus on conviviality, creating spaces that are both elegant and functional. The two primary styles are traditional, with a rustic and warm feel, and modern, which is characterised by minimalist aesthetics and clean lines
Here at MAS Kuchen, we design, supply and install stunning Italian kitchens from Stosa Cucine that showcase the very best of both worlds.
Traditional Italian Kitchens
This style, often inspired by Italian villas and the Tuscan countryside, emphasises warmth, comfort, and hospitality.
Key design elements
Colour palette
Warm, earthy tones such as cream, brown, terracotta, and olive green dominate the colour scheme.
Materials
Natural materials are at the forefront, including rich woods like oak and walnut for cabinetry and exposed ceiling beams, paired with striking marble or granite countertops. Stone or ceramic tiled flooring is also common.
Cabinetry
Hand-crafted, often ornate or distressed wooden cabinets with decorative details add to the rustic charm.
Appliances and accessories
Displaying cookware and ingredients is typical. Copper pots and pans hanging on the wall or a prominent range cooker can serve as a focal point. A large, traditional ceramic sink can also be a centerpiece.
Modern Italian Kitchens
Modern Italian kitchen designs focus on clarity, minimalism, and integration, creating streamlined, high-tech spaces that remain inviting.
Key design elements
Colour palette
Modern schemes often feature muted, minimalist palettes, including matte finishes in taupe, deep gray, soft almond, and warm neutrals. Accents can come from pops of colour on a backsplash or through accessories.
Materials
High-quality, durable materials are used, such as natural stone surfaces, wood veneers, porcelain, and metal lacquer finishes.
Cabinetry
A minimalist aesthetic is achieved through handleless cabinetry with flat, seamless fronts, often using push-to-open mechanisms or recessed finger pulls. This creates an uninterrupted, sleek look.
Appliances and accessories
Appliances are integrated and flush-mounted, with features often concealed to maintain a seamless, uncluttered appearance.
