Climate agreement of the furniture industry

At Nobilia, sustainability is paramount, especially regarding greenhouse gas emissions. We acknowledge our generational responsibility to the environment. As a member of the DGM’s “Climate Agreement for the Furniture Industry” since 2016, we’re committed to reducing our CO2 footprint. Nobilia aims to lead by example, raising public awareness and promoting industry-wide sustainable practices. Our goal is to balance business success with environmental stewardship, working towards a more sustainable future.

GOGREEN certificate

Nobilia utilises the CO2-neutral GOGREEN services of the German postal service and DHL for all mail and package dispatch. This offsets transport-related CO2 emissions. An independent certification company (Societé Général de Surveillance, SGS) verifies this offset according to ISO 14064 standards.

GS quality seal for tested safety

The GS quality seal, awarded by LGA Nürnberg (Europe’s largest furniture testing institute and part of the TÜV Rheinland Group), is a voluntary but widely recognised safety certification. It guarantees that products meet rigorous safety requirements, regularly verified by an independent body. This certification, which extends beyond Germany, ensures tested and monitored quality and product safety for furniture, components, and accessories. It provides assurance in both consumer and occupational health and safety domains.

“Golden M“.

The “Golden M” seal is awarded by the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V. (DGM), signifying exceptional quality that surpasses national and international standards. Furniture with this certification must be durable, safe, well-crafted, and free from health hazards. Rigorous testing ensures compliance with extensive requirements.

Recognised both nationally and internationally, the “Golden M” guarantees superior quality and eco-friendly manufacturing. It’s one of the most stringent quality certifications available. The seal’s credibility is bolstered by long-standing collaborations between DGM, the German Verbraucherzentrale (consumer protection agency), and Stiftung Warentest (independent consumer testing organisation).

This certification provides consumers with assurance of top-tier quality and environmentally responsible production practices.

Emission Class DGM (German quality control association)

Nobilia’s kitchen furniture has achieved the highest emissions class A, as awarded by the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V. (DGM). This certification confirms that Nobilia’s products have met all the stringent requirements set by the DGM for low emissions, demonstrating the company’s commitment to producing environmentally friendly and health-conscious kitchen furniture.

Blauer Engel (blue angel eco label)

We participate in the RKT (Recycling Kontor Transportverpackungen) system in Germany. This ensures our packaging is collected and recycled in compliance with packaging laws, demonstrating our commitment to responsible waste management and environmental sustainability.

PEFC /04-31-1281

Since July 2009, Nobilia has been PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) certified, becoming the first kitchen manufacturer to achieve this status. This certification underscores Nobilia’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable use of wood resources.

PEFC certification ensures that all timber products used by Nobilia come from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources. It guarantees that the wood is not sourced from questionable or overexploited areas but from responsibly managed semi-natural forests.

By obtaining PEFC certification, Nobilia demonstrates to customers its dedication to environmental stewardship. This aligns with the company’s broader commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing practices in the kitchen industry.

  It has been a pleasure dealing with MAS Kuchen from start to finish.Our kitchen remodelling journey started with a visit to their Reading showroom where we had an appointment with Lisi,their in house senior designer.Needless to say we were impressed by her consummate professionalism and reassured by her expertiseWe fell in love with the Fjord blue kitchen with the gold panel in the showroom.There followed a few zoom meetings with Lisi during which our bespoke kitchen was created.She brought our vision to life with meticulous care and attention,making sure every nook and cranny was covered and came up with suggestions to create our dream kitchen.Lisi is in the Premier League of kitchen designers and was head and shoulders above any other we came across during our decision process.She is the jewel in their crown.Her aftercare was superb as well and always answered my phone calls and replied to my e mails.The mechanism of the German manufactured kitchen units are a class above any other.The ambient lighting underneath the cabinets and counter tops was the perfect finishing touch.
What is really impressive is how price competitive MasKuchen is compared with their high street competitors,Magnet and Wren whilst offering a far superior product.We took advantage of the free dry fit offer which these companies were not offering.I am over the moon that I have a bespoke kitchen of exceptional quality that did not break the bank!Highly recommended.Look no further if you want 5 star service.Almost forgot to add that my dog chewed the bottom plinth edge pieceof one of the cabinets that was lying on the floor before fitting and when I informed Sarah, a new one was ordered and personally fitted by the owner Marco after the installation was complete, which is going the extra mile,above and beyond.This is not a company that once you have paid them,think their job is done.Marco will also come to inspect the new kitchen for any snagging and to ensure that the customer and himself are satisfied with the completed project.

  Wanted a decent quality kitchen and used MAS Kuchen for my kitchen installation for the job to be done in my flat.

Was a very comprehensive and helpful process going through with Lisi about all aspects of a completely new kitchen.

And was looking forward to seeing the results.

Was perfectly fine with the dates for the work to be completed and throughout the installation process both Sarah and Marco were always available, quick to respond and any issues were dealt with by Marco efficiently.

All the electricians, fitters and plumbers used, all were friendly, tidy and respectful and am very pleased with the finished job

  We recently purchased a kitchen from Mas Kuchen to complete the renovation of our home, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. We worked with Lisi on the kitchen design, and she was fantastic. We had several meetings with her, making multiple changes based on our requirements. Lisi listened attentively to what we wanted and added numerous valuable design ideas that we wouldn't have thought of without her help.

Throughout the process, Lisi was a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend her if you need a kitchen design that fits within your budget. The kitchen itself is of great quality and was also fitted by Mas Kuchen. Marco conducted site visits before and after the fitting to ensure the kitchen would be a perfect fit and installed to a high standard.
