There is a lot of room for flexibility within this style of layout as the continuous nature of the design allows services to be routed behind the cabinets- which in turn enables us to site appliances where you wish them to be, rather than where service locations dictate. MAS Kuchen Reading & Camberley have designed and installed many U-shaped kitchens, and through doing so, our design team now possess a breadth of knowledge that ensures we can offer the very best design solutions possible for this type of kitchen layout.
U-Shaped Kitchen Design
The Centerpiece Approach: We start U-shaped kitchens with a statement piece – a wide induction hob or extractor – placed centrally for visual impact. From there, we design outwards using symmetrical layouts and wide drawers to maximise perceived space.
Function & Aesthetics: Our goal is always a kitchen that’s both beautiful and functional. U-shapes allow us to hide sinks and drainboards behind tall units, ideal for open-plan kitchens or those with seating areas.
Maximising Corners: The two corners in a U-shaped kitchen demand smart storage solutions to optimise space. We ensure easy access with carefully chosen corner units and appropriate door widths.
